Chelsea - Victoria A. (Tobias) Fielder, 86, of Dr. Mann Road, died Thursday, March 8, 2007 at MaineGeneral Rehabilitation and Nursing Care at Gray Birch. She was born in Chelsea on May 11, 1920 the daughter of Felix and Katherine (Niejadlik) Tobias. A member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Augusta, Vicky enjoyed playing cards and taking bus trips to the casinos. She also enjoyed traveling to Prince Edward Island in the summer, and going out to restaurants. She especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Vicky was fond of animals and had a cat named Babe. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was predeceased by her husband William Fielder Sr. in 1986, and four brothers, John, Walter, Alfred and Stanley. She is survived by two sons, William A. Fielder Jr. and his wife Denise of Prince Edward Island and James Fielder of Augusta; two daughters, Catherine Demos of Chelsea and Cynthia Hall and her husband Shawn, also of Chelsea; a brother Joseph Tobias of Augusta, GA; three sisters Genevieve ?Tobey? Whittier of Chelsea, Lucille McGuire and Mary Getchell, both of Augusta; 9 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Visiting will be held Sunday from 3-6 pm at Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home, One Church St., Augusta. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:am Monday at St. Mary?s Church, with Rev. Ralph Boisvert, Celebrant. Spring burial will be in St. Mary?s Cemetery, Manchester. Following the service, there will be a gathering of family and friends at St. Andrew?s Church Hall, South Belfast Avenue, Augusta.
