GARDINER ? William Henry Kimball, 96, died Monday, Nov. 4, 2002, at Robinson's Health Care in Gardiner. He was born in Homeworth, Ohio, May 22, 1906, to Marion Gilmour Kimball and William H. Kimball. A graduate of Cornell University, class of 1927, he and his wife, Carlotta, moved to Augusta in 1934 when he was employed by Central Maine Power Co. He worked there until his retirement in 1972 in the capacity of financial vice president and director. He was also treasurer and director of Maine Yankee Atomic. Bill was a member of the Augusta Rotary Club and served on the Augusta Police Commission and as a member of the Augusta school board. He was active in South Parish Congregational Church, serving as treasurer for many years. He was predeceased by his wife of 73 years, Carlotta, and his brother, Arthur. He is survived by his daughter, Joyce Kimball Burbank and her husband, Thomas F. Burbank, of Simsbury, Conn.; two grandchildren, William Burbank and his wife, Joanne, of Williston, Vt., and Carol Burbank of Tacoma Park, Md.; three great-grandchildren, Lauren, April and Austin Burbank; as well as six nieces and a nephew. There will be no visiting hours or service at this time. Burial will be inQuick Cemetery, Brooktondale, N.Y., at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lithgow Public Library, Winthrop Street, Augusta 04330, or to the charity of one's choice.
