AUGUSTA - Winifred C. Stratton, 92, of Augusta died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008, at MaineGeneral Rehabilitation & Nursing Care at Glenridge, Augusta. She was born in Caribou on April 2, 1916, the daughter of William and Mary (Pelletier) Casswell. She was predeceased by her husband, Almon Stratton; a daughter, Joyce Stratton Andrews; and 11 brothers and sisters. She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Kelly and her husband, Dean Yehle, of Attleboro Falls, Mass.; seven grandchildren, John and Jeffrey Andrews and Kathleen, Kimberly, Kerrin, Kristen and James; along with 13 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to visit from noon to 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 20, at Knowlton & Hewins Funeral Home, 1 Church St., Augusta, where a memorial service celebrating Winifred's life will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family at Maine Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Civic Center Drive, Augusta.
