WINTHROP - Adeline E. Auclair, 97, died Thursday, April 5, 2007, at Winthrop Manor. She was born in Winthrop, Maine on Oct. 15, 1909, the daughter of Joseph and Georgianna (Hill) Auclair. She was one of 13 children. Adeline attended Winthrop High School, where she played basketball. She was also an avid swimmer and enjoyed playing the piano. She had worked at Winthrop Woolen Mill and also had worked in Illinois and Georgia while living with her sisters. Adeline was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church in Winthrop, where she played the organ in her earlier years. She was a very loving and generous aunt. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting will be held Monday, from 10-11a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 11 a.m. The Rev. Brian Blanchette will celebrate the Mass.
