WINTHROP ~ Aidan Jesse Ridley, 8, was granted his angel wings on September 29, 2016. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends. Aidan loved playing with his cousins and friends, fishing with his uncles and yaya, playing mindcraft, making videos, nerf gun fights with his friends, playing on his kindle, sleeping late, going camping every year at Deer Pond with his family where he could help tend to the fire, fighting with his sister, sleepovers at anyone’s house, but especially meme’s, and swimming. He loved animals, playing baseball and basketball, and participating in Cub Scouts. Aidan had an infectious smile that could brighten anyone’s day and gave the best hugs! Aidan is survived by his parents, Sarah & Nick Elian, a sister, Alexis, maternal grandparents Melody & Joe Mcgrath and Skip & Judy Ridley, paternal grandparents George & Deanna Turner and Mark Elian, great grandparents George Maxim, Harry and Virgina Crosby. Aunts and Uncles, Jadine (Yaya) & Chance Dodge, Steven Maxim (BoBo) & Jacque Frake, Matthew & Tara Mcgrath, Andy Mcgrath & Bridget Bagley, Tim Mcgrath & Nikki Fields, Andy & Theresa Chocoine, Kristi VanBlarcom, Stevi-Lynn VanBlarcom, Jason Bernier & Christina Wheeler, Nate & Waneta Sponsler, Angela & Jeff Hoops, Ginger and Jim Sponsler, Dana & Ann Maxim, Sis Martel; cousins Rylee & Aubrey Mcgrath, Stella Mcgrath, Mylah Maxim, Tyler & Asley Chicoine, Skyy Bernier, Hilary & Kelsey Maxim, Grace & Audrey Hoops, Rebekah and Taylor Sponsler, Nikki Meath, Kevin Vankoevering, Abbey and Anna Dodge, and lots of friends and extended family. Aidan was preceded in death by his great-grandmother Ethel Alberta Maxim and cousin Jaedyn Hope Lane. Visiting Hours will be held on Monday October 3rd 2016 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home, 62 Bowdoin Street, Winthrop. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on October 4th 2016 at the Hope Baptist Church on Route 202 in Manchester, followed by a graveside committal service at Glenside Cemetery on Turkey Lane in Winthrop. A celebration of Aidan’s life will be held at the American Legion in Winthrop immediately following the graveside service.
