AUGUSTA - Alice M. Tracy, 92, formerly of Randolph, died Thursday May 24, 2007 at the Augusta Rehabilitation Center. She was born August 3, 1914 in Nobleboro the daughter of Orville and Mildred (Vinal) Sidelinger. She worked for many years in several local homes as a house keeper. Alice truly loved animals, especially her horses Holly and Bayberry which she rode in many nearby parades. She also won numerous ribbons while riding her horses. She loved her cats and had a special schnauzer named Fritzy. Alice also spent time crocheting, doing needlepoint and making afghans. She attended the Winter Street Baptist Church in Gardiner and participated in the choir. Mrs. Tracy was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Tracy; her parents and her sisters, Madelyn Russell, Kathleen Everslage and Leola Dubreuil. She is survived by her sister, Lillian M. Rollins, of Pittston; her brother, Fred Sidelinger, of Belfast along with several nieces and nephews. At the request of Alice, there will be no visitation or service. Memorial donations may be made to the Kennebec Valley Humane Society, 10 Pet Haven Lane, Augusta, Maine 04330. The family would like to thank the staff of the Augusta Rehabilitation Center, the Beacon Hospice and Dr. Katherine Brandt for the kindness and care shown to Alice over the past few years. Arrangements are in the care of Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home, One Church Street, Augusta.
