AUGUSTA ? Ann Martin Davis, 90, of Augusta, and formerly of Memorial Drive in Winthrop, died Sunday, June 30, 2002, at MaineGeneral Rehabilitation and Nursing Care, Glenridge Drive, Augusta. She was born in Fort Kent, Dec. 12, 1911, the daughter of William R. and Anna (Sinclair) Martin. She was educated in Lewiston schools and retired after 25 years of service as a long-distance operator with New England Telephone and Telegraph in Lewiston and Augusta. Ann's husband, Norman Davis, predeceased her July 3, 1968. She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Loretta Gingrow, of Duxbury, Mass., and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 9, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Winthrop, with Rev. Brian Blanchette, celebrant. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Glenridge Resident Council, 40 Glenridge Dr., Augusta 04330, or a favorite charity of one's choice. Arrangements are in the care of Roberts Funeral Home, Winthrop.
