VASSALBORO ~ Anna Elizabeth Blaisdell, 92, died peacefully at Maine General Medical Center on December 9, 2013. She was born May 8, 1921, in Gardiner, Maine, the daughter of Earl and Norma (Davidson) Blaisdell. She was educated in Hallowell schools and graduated from Hallowell High School and attended Kennebec School of Commerce. Anna worked for the State of Maine in Augusta. She enjoyed many happy years at camp on Three Cornered Pond in Augusta and Baker Point on Moosehead Lake. She also enjoyed many happy times with her family. She is survived by her sister, Joan M. (Blaisdell) Kent, of Richmond; a niece, Catherine M (Kent) Gasper and husband Robert, of Manchester; two nephews, Steven E. Kent and wife Carol of Bangor, and Andrew D. Kent and wife Donna, of West Gardiner; a grand nephew, Jason M. Gasper and wife Lauren of Bowdoin, a grand niece, Leslie A. (Gasper) Marco and husband Jason of Mt. Vernon and four great grand-nephews, Logan Gasper and Wyatt, Thatcher and Graham Marco. She was predeceased by her sister Mary in 1946 and her companion Lloyd Prime in 1987. At Anna’s request, there will be no visitation hours or funeral service. Memorial donations may be made to the Kennebec Valley Humane Society, 10 Pethaven Lane, Augusta, ME, 04330.
