SHIRLEY MILLS ? Arnold B. Libby Jr., 47, passed away Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002, from injuries sustained in a traffic accident. \r\r\n\r\r\nArnold was born in Lewiston, March 14, 1955, the son of Arnold Libby Sr. and Shirley (Hilliard) Libby. \r\r\n\r\r\nHe was raised in Monmouth and graduated from Monmouth Academy. \r\r\n\r\r\nArnold lived and worked for many years in the Shirley Mills-Greenville area, self-employed in carpentry. \r\r\n\r\r\nHe was an outdoors person who grew up loving the outdoors and continued to have hobbies and work that kept him outside. He loved his children, motorcycle, snowmobiles and the Moosehead area. \r\r\n\r\r\nHe had many friends and family members, close and far. Everyone he met came away knowing they had encountered a truly nice person. He was very proud of his 17 years of sobriety. \r\r\n\r\r\nHe was predeceased by a sister, Penny Prestridge, in 1999, and a good friend, Sach Wing. \r\r\n\r\r\nHe is survived by his father, Arnold Libby Sr., of Richmond; his mother, Shirley Michaud of Winthrop; his stepmother, Bertha Libby of Lewiston; his sons and daughter, Chris Kenney of Litchfield, and Patrick Libby, Andrew Libby and Sara Libby, all of Shirley Mills; his stepdaughters, Debra Clements of West Gardiner and Michelle McDonald of Litchfield; three sisters, Pamela Smith and her husband, Randy, of Lacrosse, Wis., Sue Cook and her husband, Walter, of Manchester, and Bev Adams and her husband, Joe, of Readfield; and his sweetheart, Jane Gaudet of Monmouth. He is also survived by his grandchildren and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. \r\r\n\r\r\nRelatives and friends are invited to visit 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, at Roberts Funeral Home, 62 Bowdoin St., Winthrop, where a celebration of his life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday. \r\r\n\r\r\nIn lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Arnold B.
