AUGUSTA - Arthur B. 'Brian' Traweek IV, 32, of Augusta, formerly of Auburn and Portland, died unexpectedly Monday, Jan. 12, 2009. He was born in Meridian, Miss., on May 3, 1976, the son of Arthur B. Traweek IV and Lucille J. Theberge Ouellette. He attended schools in the Auburn-New Gloucester area. As a boy, Brian grew up in Auburn, where he played Little League and Babe Ruth baseball. He spent most of his adult years in Portland. A few places he was employed at in the 1990s were the Portland Regency Hotel, Roses Etc., and Jolly Gardener. Brian had been enrolled in and recently graduated from the co-occurring program where he was trying to better his life. Much of Brian's life was centered around making others happy. He loved his family and everyone he knew. He was a very kind and generous man. He loved animals and enjoyed landscaping, flying and just spending time with his son, best friends, brother and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Arthur B. Traweek III, in September 2008; his grandfather, Arthur B. Traweek Jr., in October 2008; and his grandfather, Normand Theberge, in February 1992. Survivors include his mother, Lucille Theberge Ouellette and stepfather Ernest Ouellette, of Auburn; a son, Justin LeClair, of Lewiston; brothers Steven Traweek and his wife, Cher, of Westbrook, Daniel Ouellette, of Auburn, and Justin and Jason Traweek, of Mississippi; two sisters, Amanda and Breanna Traweek, of Mississippi; three stepbrothers and two stepsisters; three aunts, Sue Allen, Debbie Gilbert and Kim Williams, of Mississippi; several aunts, uncles and cousins, of Maine; and two nephews, Devin and Austin Traweek, of Westbrook. Relatives and friends may visit from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, at Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home, 1 Church St., Augusta, with a 7 p.m. funeral service to follow.
