Readfield- Arthur "Art" Stetson, 81, of Readfield passed away on December 20, 2023. The son of Earlon Stetson and Millicent Fletcher, he was born in Mars Hill, Maine on June 9th, 1942. The husband of Barbara (Gaither) Stetson. They married on May 17, 1986 and spent 37 wonderful years together. Art worked at Bill Martin Chevrolet as a service manager for a numerous amount of years. He spent time fishing and hunting all throughout Maine. Art deeply enjoyed his time spent with his beloved family, especially his grandkids and enjoyed taking them fly fishing and hunting in the Maine woods. In addition to his parents, Art is predeceased by his 4 sisters and 2 brothers. Art leaves behind his loving wife, Barbara, his son, Stephen (Kristi) Stetson of Florida, his daughter, Clarissa (Brian) Hurley of Richmond, his step-son Michael (Susie) Gaither of Gardiner, and Brandon Sylvester of Belgrade, who Art was very close with. As well as his 2 sisters, Flossie O'Neal, Dena (Clarence) Mullen, his brother, Asa (Margaret) Stetson , 10 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, and many nieces, nephews and close friends.
