AUGUSTA - Audrey Culbert Brunelle, 60, of Ridge Road died unexpectedly Monday, April 17, 2006, at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Waterville. He was born in Augusta on March 20,1946, the son of Leo P. and Ethel M. (Welton) Brunelle, and educated in the schools of Augusta. On Dec. 8, 1973, he married the former Donnalee Lockhart. She died July 18, 1994. For many years, Mr. Brunelle was employed as a newspaper delivery contractor in the Augusta area. Mr. Brunelle had a great interest in movies and enjoyed watching a movie whenever he had the opportunity. His most important interests, though, were his family members and following the events of their lives, as he loved them very much. He especially looked forward to the time he was able to spend with his son, John. Survivors include a son, John E. Brunelle, and his wife, Diana, of Clinton; two sisters, Ms. Shirley Ayotte of Augusta and Ms. Francine Kaiser of Lynn, Mass.; one brother, Gerald Brunelle of Augusta; and three grandchildren, Justin, Jerica and Jade. Several special nieces and nephews also survive him. He was predeceased by a brother, Irving. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. today, Friday, April 21, at Knowlton & Hewins Funeral Home, 1 Church St., Augusta, where friends and relatives may call at noon Friday prior to the funeral service. Committal and interment will follow the funeral service at St. Mary's Cemetery in Manchester. Immediately following the committal prayers, family and friends are invited a celebration of Mr. Brunelle's life, which will be held at American Legion Post 205, Eastern Avenue, Augusta.
