Beatrice May (Montgomery) Rideout August 20, 1933-April 14, 2020 Did you know Bea? She was an amazingly devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sibling, aunt and friend. To know Bea was to have the chance to hear her no-nonsense wisdom earned from a life well-lived and deeply loved. She will be remembered by those who knew her and loved her for her dry wit, her warmth, her devotion to her Episcopal faith, her passion for cooking and keeping a beautiful home, and her tenderness supported by her resolute convictions and moral fiber. Augusta, Me. – Mrs. Beatrice May (Morrison) Montgomery Rideout passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2020, at Captain Lewis Residence. She was the wife of the late Richard C. Rideout, Sr. with whom she shared 36 years of marriage and the late Charles Montgomery. Bea was born August 20, 1933, in Dover-Foxcroft, Me. She was the daughter of the late Walter L. and Salome M. (Elliott) Morrison. Bea is survived by her children Vickie Geishaker and her husband Andrew of Augusta,Me., Richard C. Rideout, Jr. of Richmond, Me., and Kim Rideout Dawes and her husband Dennis of Belgrade, Me. Beatrice is also survived by her brother Robert Morrison of Lee, Me., and sister Joyce Cyr of Orono, Me. She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren, Richard, Justin, Ashley, Ryan, and Kevin. Beatrice had 7 great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, and many friends and beloved relatives. Bea was predeceased by her siblings William, Roger and Ormond Guilow, Kenneth, Gerald “Gene” and Walter Morrison, Jr., Delphine Lapointe and Barbara Guiggy. A funeral service will be held at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, Millinocket, Me. at a date and time to be announced.
