RICHMOND- Brent A. Ruggles, 72, died on Sunday October 5th at 12:30AM at Gray Birch Long Term Care in Augusta. He was born on April 20, 1953, in Morrisville, VT, to parents Wilbur (Johnnie) and Stella Ruggles. He spent his early years in Johnson, VT, before moving with his family to Claremont, NH, and then to South Reading, VT, where he met his wife, Connie (Sherer) Ruggles. They were married on March 16, 1974, and had two children, Timothy and Julie. Brent worked for many years in industrial factories, most recently at Luzenac in VT, before moving to Maine where he worked at Maine Industrial Repair in Augusta until he retired in 2018. He enjoyed fixing things, telling stories, spending time with his family and woodcarving. Brent is survived by his wife of 51 years, his son, Timothy Ruggles of Richmond, his daughter, Julie Ruggles Simoneau and her husband Ken of Claremont, NH, four beloved grandchildren, Logan Ruggles of Richmond, Isabella and Kearah Simoneau of Claremont NH, and Amaiah Ruggles of Pittston. He is also survived by his sister Pamela Smith and her husband Walter of Winterhaven, FL, his uncle, Everett Rowell, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced.
