1954 – 2021 MADISON – Carey L. Roberts, 66, of Madison, Maine, died Saturday, October 9th, 2021, at his home after declining health. He was born in Gardiner, Maine, on October 18th, 1954, the son of Martin and Patricia (Carey) Roberts. He graduated high school from Winthrop. Maine and worked for the city of Winthrop through the job corps and various landscaper positions in Winthrop and Mount Vernon. During the early years he enjoyed scouting activities like camping and swimming while in the Boy Scouts. You would always see him riding his bike around town bringing a smile to everyone he met. He always showed kindness and made himself available to assist the elderly with odd jobs. He was active in church, loved playing darts, roller skating, gardening, raking blueberries and spending time with family and friends. He loved life and he had a way of brightening up your day. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers Michael Roberts of Madison, Maine, William Roberts of Florida, Step sister Tina Tarr of Gardiner, Maine and uncle Richard Liscomb of Hallowell, Maine, Carey is survived by brothers Terry Roberts and his wife Salome of Riverview, Fl., Steven Roberts of Allen, Texas, Peter Tarr and Wendy of, Anna, Texas, Step brother Michael Tarr of, Randolph, Maine, step sister Cheryl Tarr of, Gardiner, Maine and aunt Alta Liscomb of, Hallowell, Maine, A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 18, at 1:00 pm, at the Mount Vernon Community Cemetery, Corner of the North Road and Bean Road in Mount Vernon.
