Obituary

Augusta- Carlton L. Pratt passed away peacefully on August 10, 2026, at the age of 81.

He was born on March 14, 1945, in Lewiston Maine, son of Marshall and Gladys Thompson Pratt.

He was a 1963 graduate of Winthrop High School. He then enlisted in the United States Army from 1963 until 1968.

After his military service, he embarked on a fulfilling career with Central Maine Power, working in the line department until his retirement in 2004.

Carlton was a long-time member of Springbrook Golf Club, celebrating the achievement of three holes in one.

On May 24, 1969, Carlton married Jean Poulin Pratt. They welcomed two children, David Pratt and Angela Lee.

Carlton is survived by his wife Jean, his children David and Angela, his son-in-law Michael, four grandchildren, Maura Poulin, Tessie Murray, Samantha Moody and Jessica Dacus and six great-grandchildren.

He also leaves behind his sister Marilyn Morin and an extended family of many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, Carlton was pre-deceased by his brothers Marshall Pratt Jr, and Richard Pratt. His legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to be part of his life.

Carlton’s family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this time.

A service with full military honors will be held at the Maine Veterans Cemetery, Civic Center Drive, 143 Blue Star Avenue, Augusta, Maine, 04330 on Tuesday, August 25 at 2:00 P.M.
