WINTHROP - Charles 'Chuck' P. Morrison, 88, of Winthrop died Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, at Nicholson's Long Term Care in Winthrop. He was born in Bangor on July 19, 1915, the son of Charles and Minnie (Frazee) Morrison. Chuck was educated in Winthrop schools and then worked for the forestry division in Alaska with a surveying crew, surveying what is now the Alcan Highway. After returning to Maine from Alaska, Chuck married Theresa Guerette on May 18, 1946. He was employed by Carleton Woolen Mills in Winthrop before becoming a game warden for Inland Fisheries and Wildlife for several years. He then went to work for the Maine DOT Highway Department, Engineering Division as a right-of-way agent, retiring after 30 years in 1975. Chuck was a 48-year member of Winthrop Masonic Temple Lodge 25, FM & AM. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, admiring the beauty of wildflowers and trees, and outdoor photography, in particular working with color slides and wild game. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his daughter, Marcia, his son-in-law, Roland, and his grandson, Charlie. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Theresa 'Terry' Morrison of Winthrop; his daughter, Marcia Seavey, and her husband, Roland, of Jackman; his grandson, Charlie Seavey, of Jackman; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Glenside Cemetery, Winthrop. For those who wish, donations in his memory may be made to Kennebec Land Trust, Mount Pisgah Fund, P.O.
