Cheryl T. Cook, known for her quick wit and bright spirit, peacefully departed this life on November 3, 2026, in Belfast, Maine, at the age of seventy-three. Born on January 10, 1953, in Vinalhaven, Maine, to her loving parents Harvey A. Tolman and Dorothy L. Tolman, Cheryl brought laughter and warmth to everyone she met throughout her remarkable journey.

Growing up in the coastal charm of Maine, Cheryl developed a lively personality characterized by being funny, bright, and wonderfully comical. After completing her high school education, she dedicated many years of her professional life to public service. Cheryl worked diligently as a municipal clerk, serving communities with dedication and care, including her esteemed tenures as City Clerk in Belgrade and Vinalhaven. Her professional colleagues and local residents always appreciated her sharp mind and cheerful disposition.

Beyond her career, Cheryl had a vibrant array of personal interests that brought her immense joy. She was an avid reader who loved diving into a good book, and she enjoyed spending her downtime playing engaging computer games. A passionate treasure hunter at heart, Cheryl loved collecting unique antiques, each piece telling its own story. Above all her hobbies, her absolute favorite pastime was visiting her nieces Kaylin and Morgan, cherishing every moment of laughter and connection shared with them.

Cheryl leaves behind a legacy of joy and fond memories for all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her dear sister Mary Welts and her husband Philip, and her nephew Keagan. Her unique sense of humor, brilliant mind, and affectionate nature will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and the entire community. A private funeral service will be held at a later date to honor Cheryl's memory and celebrate the wonderful life she lived.
