CHELSEA ? Clarence E. York, 81, of Chelsea died Monday, Oct. 14, 2002, at his home. He was born in Augusta, May 27, 1921, the son of Clarence and Bertha York. Mr. York is survived by a son, Elwyn McArthur of Monmouth; three brothers, Raymond York of Chelsea, Richard York of Hallowell and Arthur York of Manchester; six sisters, Alice Foren of Weeks Mills, Beatrice Davis of Chelsea, Vivian Quirion of Augusta, Violet Sebrell of Augusta, Evelyn White of Augusta and Louise Skidgell of Augusta; a daughter-in-law, Caren McArthur; two grandchildren, Elwyn McArthur Jr. and Kevin McArthur; and one great-granddaughter, Ciara McArthur. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Libby Hill Cemetery in Gardiner.
