Winthrop - Clyde W. Kaherl Sr., 76, of Sturtevant Hill Road, died Tuesday September 4, 2007 at his home. He was born in Winthrop the son of Roy and Lillian (Flagg) Kaherl. Clyde was educated in the Winthrop schools and had served in the U.S. Army for two years earning the rank of Corporal. He worked at Tex-Tech for 50 years before retiring due to his health. Clyde enjoyed fishing and bowling. In 2006 he received a plaque for being the Most Improved Bowler. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Rose Irene Kaherl and a son Clyde W. Kaherl Jr.; two aunts Gladys Flagg and Pauline Flagg, many cousins, and his extended family Megan Fuller and Chris Fuller and his children Sam and Ian. At his request there will be no visiting hours. A graveside memorial service with military honors will be held 10:00 am Tuesday September11th, in Glenside Cemetery, Turkey Lane, Winthrop. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, One Main Street, Suite 300, Topsham Me. 04086 of HealthReach Hospice Volunteers P.O.
