Obituary

MOUNT VERNON—Courtlyn M. Donato, 22, of Mount Vernon, died Tuesday June 7, 2016 as the result of an automobile accident. She was born in Waterville, July 22, 1993 the daughter of David and Ellen (Zimmerman) Donato. She grew up in Mount Vernon and was a 2011 graduate of Maranacook Community School. Courtlyn worked at several jobs, over the years including, her father’s company, Donato Construction, Ruby Tuesday, Magic Falls Whitewater Rafting, in the Forks and Dunkin Donuts in Manchester. She was known as “ Thee Intellectual Wizard” Courtlyn had the indisputable ability to fill each moment of another's life, whomever she touched, with infectious laughter, miracles, unending jokes, and the feeling that everything's right with the world. A room with her in it is filled with spontaneous and bright inertia, and it's hard not to find yourself loving every moment of it. She may also be yelling at you, passionately about her ideals for this earth. Could probably turn a war into a group hug, your hand into heart, and that heart into a smile. One of the funniest people we knew to love. You will be missed. Courtlyn was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, William and Louise Zimmerman and cousins, Kristofer Kanach and Ava Marie Tremblay. She is survived by her parents, David and Ellen Zimmerman, of Mount Vernon; her brother, Peter Donato; grandparents, John J. and Carolyn Donato, of Belgrade; Aunt, Pam Cheney and her husband, Alan, of Readfield and their daughter, Jamie Gronwald; uncle, Gary Donato, of Skillman, NJ; aunt, Nancy Kanach and her husband, Bill, of Shallotte, NC, Uncle Steve Zimmerman and his wife, Dawn, of Gray and their children, Sarah Tremblay and husband, Alex, of Lisbon and their children, Quentin and Lavinia, Steve Zimmerman and his wife, Mary, of New Gloucester and their son, Declan, Russell and Jared Zimmerman, of Gray, uncle, Erik Zimmerman and his wife, Norma, of Ringoes, NJ and their children, Erik and Jason Zimmerman, of Ringoes, NJ, Steven Case and wife, Alison, of Doylestown, PA, Jennifer Hoppaugh and her husband, Brian, of Ringoes, NJ, aunt, Debbie Kanach, of Oxford, NJ and her son John Kanach and his wife, Bethany, of Lutz, FL and their children, Annabelle and Nathaniel, and her uncle, William Zimmerman, of Oxford, NJ.
