Winthrop- Cynthia "Candy" (Rowley) Everett passed away on December 11, 2023, unexpectedly after a brief battle with cancer. Candy was born on March 20, 1959, in Augusta, Maine. She graduated from Winthrop High School, Class of 1977. To her, Winthrop was home, and she appreciated the safety and familiarity of living in small town Maine. Candy Married Robert Everett on November 1st,1980. Candy was a stay-at-home mom until her youngest started school. She gained employment at the local restaurant "Ned's Place", where she worked for over 20 years. She had quite a sense of humor and was always up for telling the "locals" at the "round table" dirty jokes. After Ned's Place sold, Candy started bartending at Pond Town Tavern, where her art of telling jokes went with her. Candy was known for her incredible sweet treats and famous biscuits she would whip up on the weekends at the tavern. Candy is predeceased by her parents, Roger and Constance (Mojecki) Rowley, her Husband, Robert "Bob" Everett, sister, Dianna Noble, and brother William "Bill" Rowley. Candy is survived by her three children. Jacob Everett and his partner Jennifer Brennan, of Winthrop. Israel Everett of Winthrop, and Miranda Cohenour, her husband, Chris, and stepdaughter, Lilyana of Lewiston, anyone who knew Candy, knew that the center of her universe was her granddaughter, Willow. Mammies' face would light up whenever she and Willow were together. Candy will be remembered most for her sense of humor and great love for her Family. To respect Candy's wishes, there will be no service. Donations can be made in her name to the Winthrop Food Pantry, 10 Cross Road, Winthrop, ME 04364.
