It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our sweet mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Delia Ann Sidelinger. Sadly, she lost a hard-fought battle with pneumonia and covid-19.
Delia "Dee" Sidelinger was born on June 22, 1966, in Augusta, Maine. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Joanne (Lancaster) Tarbox.
Dee spent her formative years in the Augusta school system, before obtaining her CNA license through local Waterville trade schools. She was employed by Mount Merici, where she lovingly cared for the nuns in the convent. Dee was an active member of the Faith Evangelical Free Church of Waterville. She spoke highly of her friends there and how much she enjoyed going to services.
In her free time, Dee enjoyed the company of her daughter and best friend, Katelyn Sidelinger as well as her "grandbabies" Kylee Hope and Raiden Xander. These three were the light of her life and filled her heart with so much love and joy. She was always ready with a hug, a smile and a silly quip. Making other people laugh and smile was always her first priority.
Delia is predeceased by her parents Arthur and Joanne Tarbox. Dee leaves behind her one and only child and best friend for 30 years, Katelyn Sidelinger, as well her grandchildren Kylee and Raiden; sisters Jennie Jipson of Augusta, Lorianne Henderson of Belfast, Betti-Jo Sidelinger of Augusta and brother Todd Tarbox of Vassalboro. She was a tremendously loving aunt to Billy and Amber Jipson, Trisha Donnarumma and Troy Sidelinger, Cali, Tony, Camden, Hadleigh, Nicholas, Morgan and Jaxon. Dee was as genuine and caring as anyone could be, and her leaving our family so soon leaves a hole in our hearts that we will never be able to fill. She will always be remembered as the first to help a friend, lend a hand or give support. She will be missed, always.
A Celebration of Dee's life will be held Sunday, October 10th from 2-5pm at the American Legion Post#2, 7 Legion Dr., Augusta.
