READFIELD--Donald Miller, 57, of Readfield, Maine, formerly West Virginia, passed away on January 4th. Donald was a proud Marine, but also a loving father, a doting husband, and a man who gave selflessly to others. He was a pet whisperer adored by all furry and feathered friends, and could fix anything he got his hands on. He was the envy of the other family cooks. Donald was the kind of person who left notes in his wife’s lunchbox, and met her at her car after work to walk her inside - no matter the weather or time. She’ll miss their morning coffee ritual. Donald was also a proud parent who talked daily to both his surviving children. He encouraged their dreams, picked them up when they fell, and made them laugh and roll their eyes with his corny jokes. They’ll miss his morning text. They won’t miss TSA flagging their luggage for fake body parts he gifted them on visits. Donald relished the weird and the absurd. His sense of humor will be dearly missed. When he wasn’t working on projects around the house, Donald enjoyed tricking out his pick-up truck, collecting taxidermy, and texting his family members photos of his plastic skeleton posed around the property. Donald was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Peggy, his son Donald Jr., and his brother, David. He is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah, his children and best friends, Daylina and Dachelle (Wes), cherished grandchildren, Wesley and Garrytt, brothers Dennis and D.M., sister Debbie, brother-in-law Robert, and four very spoiled fur babies.
