WINTHROP ~ Donna Jean Bubier, 73, of Winthrop, died peacefully on Monday October 3, 2016 at MaineGeneral Rehabilitation in Augusta. She was born in Wilton, May 5, 1943 the daughter of William and Martha (Sprague) Smith. Donna grew up in Wilton and Livermore Falls and graduated from Livermore Falls High School. She worked with her father in the family store for a number of years then went to work making shoes and later at the woolen mill in Kezar Falls. Donna was married to her husband, Thane (Junior) Bubier for 53 years. They lived in Buxton for many years, moving to Winthrop in 2002. She enjoyed bird watching and especially loved her red cardinals. In recent years, she enjoyed spending time on her computer. She is survived by her husband, Thane Bubier, Jr.; her children, Kevin Bubier, of Providence, Rhode Island and Kimberly Wagoner, of Virginia; her grandson, Nicholas Wagoner, and her brother-in-law, David Bubier and his wife, June, of Winthrop. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Tuesday October 11, 2016 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home, 62 Bowdoin Street, Winthrop.
