BROOKSVILLE, Fla. ? Dorothy Elvira Lewis, 91, of Brooksville, formerly of Augusta, Maine, died Saturday Nov. 3, 2001, at the home of her daughter, in Brooksville. She was born in Augusta, Oct. 12, 1910, the daughter of William R. and Eva (Nelson) Barry. She attended Augusta schools. She spent a large part of her life living in Hallowell, Maine. Dorothy was a member of the Get Together Club, the Happy Family Club and Cox Memorial United Methodist Church. She also enjoyed beano. Dorothy was a real 'people person.' She also enjoyed baking and was famous for her pies, which always went first and highest when auctioned. Mrs. Lewis was predeceased by her husband, Wesley Lewis, and her daughter, Paulina Paradis. She is survived by her daughter, Dot Bibber, and her husband, Frank, of Brooksville; a son, Herbert Taylor, and his wife, Barbara, of Mocksville, N.C.; 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may visit from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home, 1 Church St., Augusta, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Augusta.
