AUGUSTA -- Edith B. Manson, 94, of Capitol Street and formerly of Winthrop, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2003, at MaineGeneral Rehabilitation, Graybirch Drive, Augusta. She was born in Rutherglen, Scotland, on Feb. 6, 1909, the daughter of William and Mary (Martindale) Barker. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Manson Sr. and two sons Edward Manson Jr. and David M. Manson. She is survived by two daughters, Palmina Manson of Boston and Carolyn Manson of Hallowell; a son, Gordon Manson of Florida; two granddaughters, Lisa Simpson of Edgecomb and Meredith Wolff of Milton, Mass. and by her beloved great-grandchildren, cousins and daughter-in-law, Patricia Maines of Augusta. Visiting hours and services will be private. Burial will be in the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Civic Center Drive, Augusta. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to the William S.
