Edward Ayotte Jr., died Sunday, May 31, 2026 in his home after a long illness of cancer. He worked for the State of Maine DOT for 23 plus years. After his retirement he kept busy doing woodworking. He enjoyed making birdhouses and wellhouse extensions. He enjoyed taking motors apart and recycling them. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching the deer and the birds. He is survived by his wife Jeanette Ayotte, his three children, Edward Ayotte and wife Sharyn of Lagrange, Ellie McElhaney and husband Kevan of Augusta, Michael Ayotte and wife Eryn of Mt. Vernon. Edward had five brothers and five sisters, Eva Tibbetts, Chandler Ayotte, Betty Burns and Pierre Ayotte, Madelene Pierce, Pat Ayotte, Joanne Ayotte, Maetta Dickey, Clarence Ayotte and Anthony Ayotte, along with several nieces and nephews and three step grandchildren. He is going to be greatly missed. Our pain is a small price to pay for his peace.
