AUGUSTA- Elizabeth L. Curran, 44, died Friday, Sept. 9, 2005 at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta. She was born in Calais on Feb. 11th, 1961, the daughter of Joseph and Joan (Cunningham) Curran. She graduated from Deering High School, class of 1980, and worked for Chapman in Portland for a few years. In her early years, Elizabeth was a very athletic person active in, among other sports, basketball and softball. Despite her life-long illness, she was a fighter. She maintained her sense of humor, never gave up, and was an inspiration to many. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and her cat, Tig -Tig. She is survived by two sisters, Debra Barron of Biddeford and Joanna Curran of Colorado Springs, CO; three brothers, Thomas of Biddeford, Ed of Portland, and Raymond Curran of Burbank, CA; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A celebration of her life will be held at 5:30pm on Fri., Sept. 30, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 15 Smith Lane, Saco (behind the Rite-Aid off Rt. 1). Arrangements are in the care of Knowlton & Hewins Funeral Home, One Church St., Augusta.
