Obituary

Vienna ~ Elizabeth A. Huettner, 91, of Vienna and Biglerville, PA. died Sunday, September 13, 2015 at her camp in Vienna. She was born in Summit, NJ. on December 28, 1923, the daughter of Howard and Ruth (Dias) Ford. Betty graduated high school and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Art from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. A homemaker for most of her life, she was also a teacher’s aide at Biglerville High School for over 15 years. She and her family spent many summers in Maine at their camp on Parker Pond. She enjoyed reading, tending to her flower gardens and traveling abroad. She attended the North Vienna United Methodist Church. She was predeceased by her husband Harold A. Huettner in May of 1969, and a brother Wesley Ford in December of 2013. She is survived by 3 sons; Harold R. “Russ” Huettner of Biglerville, PA.; Daniel E. Huettner of Vienna, and James E. Huettner of St. Louis, MO.; a brother Charles D. Ford of Stockton, CA; also 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and 2 nieces. There will be no visiting and services will be private. Burial will be in Green Mount Cemetery in Arendtsville, PA. Arrangements are in the care of Roberts Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 62 Bowdoin St., Winthrop, where condolences, memories and photos may be shared with the family on the obituary page of the website at www.khrfuneralhomes.com.
