OAKLAND- Faye Marie (Stratton) Ouellette, 90, passed away peacefully at home the morning of October 27, 2023. Family surrounded her for her last days upon her passing. She was 90 years old, almost 91 as of November 12,2023. Faye was born on November 12, 1932, in Belgrade. The daughter of Charles and Eula (Wallace) Stratton. She lived in Sidney for 70 years at 3190 Middle Road. She had just previously moved in with her grandson and his wife, Allen, and Melanie Ouellette, where she called home for the last few years. She loved the time spent with her family and enjoyed sewing and making them quilts. Faye was an amazingly, strong women as she put her own wood down for years with the help of her son and grandson. In her free time, you may have seen her selling some of her belongings at a lawn sale. Faye worked at John's chicken farm in Sidney, then Bates Manufacturing. Following Bates, she cleaned homes and started working nights at St. Marks women's home, where she was a caretaker for many of the women there. She then went back to cleaning homes after leaving St. Marks, her favorite home to clean was her friend, Alice Hammonds house in Sidney. Faye is predeceased by her parents, her stepdad, Raymond Damren. Husband of 53 years, Philip Gilbert Ouellette Sr. who passed in 2002, daughter, Darlene who passed in 1980, sons, Mickey who passed in 2010 and Rusty who passed in 2012, and her granddaughter, Angela who passed in 2011. So much loss for one person to live with. She leaves behind her brother, Dennis Stratton, 8 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family, Allen and Melanie Ouellette, 407 Fairfield St., Oakland, in care of Faye. Faye's funeral service will be held at Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home, 1 Church Street, Augusta on Friday November 3, at 12PM. Immediately followed by a graveside service at Reynolds Hill Cemetery, Sidney.
