HALLOWELL - Floyd E. Bolstridge, 85 of Balsam Drive, died Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the Maine Veterans Home in Augusta. He was born in Grand Falls, Canada on November 22, 1927, the son of Ernest and Daisy (Watson) Bolstridge. Floyd served as a radio operator in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict, stationed in Alaska. He had worked for Sears for 16 years before going to Maine Yankee, where he worked for another 21 years, retiring in 1993. Floyd enjoyed traveling with his wife Grace. They traveled out west many times, enjoying Idaho, Colorado and the Rocky Mountains, but was particularly fond of Montana. He was a Communicant of St. Augustine Church in Augusta. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Grace (Beaulieu) Bolstridge of Hallowell; a brother in law Arthur Beaulieu and his wife Janet of Augusta; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be no public visiting hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:30 on Thursday, February 7, at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Burial with military honors will follow at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta.
