Obituary

GARDINER ~ Born the second of five daughters to Rev. Howard Clark & June Clark (Skillings), Gail died in Gardiner, Maine at the Alzheimer's Care Center where she had lived with loving care for 13 months. She is survived by her sisters, Pam Mulliken of Monmouth, Cheryl Clark of Gardiner, and Jacqui Clark of Hallowell, her son David, daughter-in-law, Grace, and grandchildren, Grant, and Amelia, all of Oley, PA. Gail was a graduate of Conestoga High School, Berwyn PA, class of 1963. She obtained her Bachelors of Nursing degree at Hartford University, Connecticut in 1978. Gail loved her work. She devoted 40 years to her patients, working as skilled nurse, a ferocious advocate, and a case manager in her own company. She moved to Maine in 2013 to be near her sisters in her final years. People at Chateau Cushnoc and Arbor Terrace will remember her humor and her bravery. Her biggest joys were when she was with her sisters, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and beloved cats. Her family will cherish memories of the delight she took fishing in her boat "Cobbie," her beautiful voice singing "Oh, Holy Night," and the astonishing ways she found to fix all things broken! Gail also had a love of fast cars. Her restored '71 Pontiac Le Mans convertible was used in fair parades. Her remains will be interned at the Clark family plot in St. David's Episcopal Church Cemetery in Wayne, PA at a date to be announced. If friends are moved to make a donation we ask you to honor the staff of the Alzheimer's Care Center, 154 Dresden Ave, Gardiner, Maine, 04345. Arrangements are in the care of Knowlton & Hewins Funeral Home and Cremation Service, One Church St., Augusta.
