Herman J. "Punkin" Lamare, Jr., 65, of Winthrop, passed away April 25, 2023, after a long-term illness.
He was born August 20, 1957, a son of Herman J. Lamare Sr., and Gladys Pratt Lamare.
Herman was a proud veteran of the US Marine Corps. Other than living in Tuscon, AZ for a few years in the 1980s where he met his wife Nancy DeMarco Lamare, Herman lived most of his life in the Auburn-Lewiston and Monmouth areas.
Punkin had many interests and hobbies, he loved fishing and riding his Harley. He was highly intelligent and often built trucks from the ground up and built a desktop computer that he used to play video games on, from scratch. He was also into astrology and would spend time creating birth charts for close family members. He had a very special place in his heart for his granddaughter Marissa Lagrange, and his great-granddaughter Lilliaunna and called them his Sweetie Peas.
He was predeceased by his parents and a sister Cheryl Lamare.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Lamare, his sister Marilynn Diaz, and his son Luke Griffin.
There will be a private memorial at the convenience of the family.
