WINTHROP - Inez Shaw Nelson, 91, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2004, at Heritage Rehabilation and Living Center in Winthrop after a brief illness. She was born in Winthrop on Oct. 18, 1912, the daughter of Frederick A. Shaw and Zella (Murray) Shaw. Inez graduated from Winthrop High School in 1931. She married Atwood Nelson in 1939 in Monmouth. She was known to many for her long and dedicated service at the dental practice of Dr. Alonzo Garcelon of Augusta. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Ms. Nelson is survived by her sons, John Nelson and his wife, Gladys, of Denver, Colo., and Greg Nelson and his wife, Linda, of Fayette; her granddaughter, Kelly Wilkerson and her husband, Jay, of Watsonville, Calif.; her brother, Kilburn Shaw and his wife, Lucille, of Leesburg, Fla., and their children, Shirley and Norman. At her request, a graveside service will be held in the spring at Glenside Cemetery in Winthrop.
