Jane Brackett (Thomas), a beloved member of the Winthrop, Maine community, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on June 13, 1951, in Winthrop, she was the cherished daughter of Betty and Charles Thomas, who instilled in her the values of kindness, generosity, and love for family and community.

Jane's life was marked by her devotion to her family and her commitment to her community. She graduated from Winthrop High School in 1969, setting forth on a path that would see her touching the lives of many with her warmth and kindness. An active member of the Eastern Star and the Masonic body, Jane followed in the footsteps of her parents and siblings, contributing to the organizations with passion and dedication.

Her love for the simple joys of life was evident in her many hobbies. Jane's garden was a testament to her green thumb and nurturing spirit, a place where she found peace and shared countless moments with family and friends. Her skills in crocheting and knitting produced beautiful works of art that warmed both hearts and homes. Baking was another joy, and her kitchen was often filled with the delightful aromas of her delicious creations, shared generously with those she loved.

Jane is survived by her three brothers, James, Charles, and Timothy, and her sister, Charlene, who will forever hold her memory close. Her family was her greatest joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them, creating a tapestry of love and memories that will endure.
