Janice Fell, 88, passed away peacefully at home, just as she lived—surrounded by love and comfort, with her beloved cat Cuddles by her side on January 22, 2026. She was born in New London, NH on May 16, 1937 the daughter of Ernest and Bernice (Walters) Partridge.
Janice was a woman of deep faith and quiet devotion. A cherished member of the Augusta First Church of the Nazarene, she faithfully served the church for many years. She was a gifted piano player who shared her music generously, playing in churches for decades. Her faith was central to her life, and she found great joy in watching the news and religious programs, staying connected to the world while grounding herself in her beliefs.
Family meant everything to Janice. She loved potluck dinners, time spent together, and especially family camping trips—so much so that plans were still being made for another summer adventure. She also had a lifelong love of cats, with a special bond shared with her cat Cuddles, who remained faithfully by her side for more than 13 years.
Janice worked at Sprague Electric for many years before retiring. She also devoted 18 years of her life as a pastor's wife, supporting her husband and church community with grace, strength, and kindness.
She was predeceased by her husband Reverend Orville Mason, father of her children; and her second husband Edward Fell; her parents; her son, Carl Mason; her brother, Ernest Partridge Jr.; and her dear friend, Janet Harriman. Janice is survived by her loving children Ruth Edwards of Falmouth; Evelyn and her husband Chris Lumbert of Jackman; David Mason and his wife Tammy of Chelsea; daughter-in-law Melissa Mason; and her dear friend Ted Harriman. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, all of whom were a source of immense pride and joy.
A service celebrating Janice's life will be held at 11am on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Augusta First Church of the Nazarene, 30 Nazarene Drive followed by a potluck, where her faith and music touched so many lives.
