Wayne- Jean Walker Gardner, 80, of Wayne passed away on August 28, 2026, in Portland, Maine following a long illness.

Jean was born in Hackensack, NJ on June 18, 1946, to the late Nelson Clark Walker, MD and Ann Giger Walker.

She was a dedicated elementary school teacher in Maine for many years.

Jean was predeceased by her husband, Bonnell Tappen Gardner and a sister, Judith Ann Walker Yettito.  She is survived by her twin sister, Joan Walker Gustavson; two brothers, Nelson Clark Walker II, MD and David Howard Walker; many nieces and nephews.
