Manchester- Jean M. Mooers,66, of Mrytle Street died peacefully on Thursday, November 5, 2026 at home with her loving husband by her side.

Jean was born on April 26, 1960, the daughter of Ronald and Doris (Avery) Murray in Stafford, CT.   At the age of 15, Jean moved with her family to Maine where she attended and graduated from Maranacook High School in the class of 1978.

On June 27, 1981, she married the love of her life, Walter F. Mooers Jr. in Wayne, Maine.

She worked in the grocery supply warehouse in Winthrop for 10 years until health issues forced her to get done work.  She loved going camping with Walter and loved going to Lubec and Cosbscook Bay State Park.  She was an avid reader and especially loved reading fiction and mystery.  She loved being in the outdoors and hiking the trails of Maine.  She was an animal lover and especially loved her dogs.

Jean was predeceased by her father, Ronald Murray; an infant daughter, Kristen Mooers.  She is survived by her husband, Walter F. Mooers Jr. of Manchester; two sons, Justin Mooers of Litchfield and Ryan Mooers of Manchester; five grandchildren, Kyle, Brenna, Lyla Jean, Roni, Braden; two great grandchildren, Kaden and Aaliyah; a brother Wayne Murray; a sister, Lynn Murray; several nieces and nephews.
