AUGUSTA - Jeanette M. 'Janet' Trask Vincent, 84, of Augusta, died peacefully on Jan. 9, 2011, following a long illness. She was born June 24, 1926, in Jefferson, the daughter of Walter and Pansy (McCurdy) Trask. She was educated in the Jefferson School system and graduated from Lincoln Academy in 1944 with highest honors. On Dec. 19, 1944, she married Merrill Stanley Vincent in Augusta. She was a homemaker and dearly loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jenny and Merrill celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on Dec. 19, 2010. Jenny was a longtime member of Penny Memorial United Baptist Church in Augusta. She was a faithful Christian who attended church until she became ill. She was an enthusiastic Red Sox fan who enjoyed holiday gatherings with family and friends, who will greatly miss her. She was predeceased by her parents and sister Flora Jones. She is survived by husband Merrill of Augusta; a son William W. Vincent and his wife Tommie of Farmington; her daughters Merrillyn E. McKee and her husband William of Gardiner, Gail M. Gagnon of Augusta, Mary E. Vincent of Augusta and Lisa A. Morris and her husband Kevan of Litchfield; a sister, Cora Fisher of Hallowell; 7 grandchildren, Helen F. Vincent of Bangor, Laura L. Poulin of Oakland, Rev. Richard M. Vincent and his wife Daffaine of Canada, Gail Tibbetts and husband Peter of Chelsea, Tammy Raymond of Fort Fairfield, Kenneth A. Thompson III and his wife Carrie of Gardiner, Jeffrey M. Thompson and his wife Kimberly of West Gardiner, Christopher and Ashleigh Morris of Litchfield; 18 great-grandchildren, Aaron R. Marshman of Bangor, Andrew D. McCluskey of Milo, Amber L. Malcolm of Bangor, Michaela, Mycha and Storm Vincent of Canada, Roseanne, Katie and Peter Jr. Tibbetts of Chelsea, Brett M. and Zachary D. Thompson of West Gardiner, Kelly Thompson of Pittston, Simon Smith and Ava Thompson of Gardiner, Ashton and Daniel Raymond of Fort Fairfield, Scott Mihalik of Oakland, Alyssa Mihalik of Belgrade; stepgrandchildren, Tommy D. Knowlton of Delaware, Noreen Scholz of New Hampshire, Jennifer McKee of Brunswick, Ga., Jessica Miers and her husband Jim, of Brunswick, Ga., William McKee Jr. of Georgia; 13 step-great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
