AUGUSTA- Jodi Anne Ximiness, 56, passed away at Maine General Medical Center in Augusta on October 20, 2024, with her loving daughter at her side. Jodi was born in Norway on June 2, 1968, to the late William Richard and Patricia Ann (LeBlanc) Ximiness. She grew up in Augusta and graduated from Cony High School in 1986. Jodi received her Associate Degree in Applied Computer Science from Mid State College in 1996. Jodi was always known as an ambitious and hard-working woman, dedicated to supporting her daughter born in 1993. Jodi was proud of her employment as Office Manager for The Family Violence Project from 1996 through 2005. She would volunteer often at the Battered Women's Shelter. Jodi worked for Uncle Henry's from 2005 to 2008. She had a fun-loving, contagious personality and a good sense of humor that created friendships everywhere she went. Jodi was currently employed by Molina Medicaid Solutions (formerly known), as a Senior Assistant in Customer Support, where she started in 2009. She will be remembered fondly by her coworkers. Jodi found joy in new experiences and creating memories with her daughter. She doted over her one and only granddaughter, spending time with her as often as possible. The little things in life were always important to her. She was very thoughtful and loyal to those she cared about. Jodi was a strong-willed and independent soul that others found admirable. For her, having lunch with a friend and doing a renovation project around her home made for an ideally productive day off. Jodi also enjoyed gardening and doing scenic photography. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her daughter, Heather Ximiness; granddaughter, Sophia "Peanut" Bechard; grandmother, Ginny Simmons; and uncle, Fred Simmons. In addition to her parents, Jodi is predeceased by her Uncle Glenn Simmons. A celebration of life will take place on November 15th from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Knowlton & Hewins Funeral Home, located at 1 Church Street, Augusta. Friends and family are respectfully invited to attend.
