John Henry Miskavage, 80, of Augusta died peacefully at home on May 19, 2025 after a brief illness. He was born in Augusta on December 21, 1944, the son of the late Anthony and Margaret Brown Miskavage. He graduated from Cony High School and went on to earn both his B.S. in Electrical Engineering and his MBA from the University of Maine at Orono. John spent 30 years of his accounting career working for General Electric and then worked for C.P. Clare until his retirement in 2011. He was predeceased by his sister, Toni Nelson. John is survived by his wife of 60 years, Betsy Miskavage; two daughters Aly Bechard and her husband Mickey, and Holly Miskavage and her partner Reggie Strickland, and one son, Andrew Miskavage and his wife Kristin; four granddaughters, Virginia Fullagar, Kelley Fullagar, Veronica Miskavage, and Stephanie Miskavage; as well as one great-granddaughter, Isla Rose; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 24 in the Main Lodge of Granite Hill Estates.
