Joseph P. Brown, 56, died Thursday, June 10, 2010 at the Hospice House in Auburn, Maine.

He was born in Boston, MA. on July 21, 1953, the son of John and Myrtle (Cail) Brown.

Joe graduated from Quincy High School, class of 1971. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard for seven years during Vietnam. After his military service, he worked at Todd Shipyard in Seattle, WA., and later worked at The Boeing Company in Seattle as a composite technician until his retirement in July of 2008.

He enjoyed playing the guitar, music, boating and being outdoors. He was a member of the Burien (Seattle) Elks Club.

He was predeceased by his father John Brown and a brother James Brown.

He is survived by a son Derek P. Brown of Normandy Park, WA; his mother Myrtle Brown of Monmouth; a grandson Jack Brown; and Derek's mother Arlene M. Brown, also of Normandy Park, WA.
