Somerville - Joshua Scott Peaslee, 27, of the Valley Road died unexpectedly on Thursday October 19, 2006 at his home. He was born in Glen Cove on March 10, 1979 the son of Larry and Patricia (Schmidt) Peaslee. Joshua attended Somerville Elementary School and graduated from Erskine Academy in 1997. He was a self employed carpenter. He enjoyed spending time with his daughter Samantha, his family and friends, and especially his best friend, his Dad. Joshua enjoyed hunting and fishing and will always be remembered by his family for his big smile and hats. He is survived by his parents Larry and Partricia Peaslee of Somerville; his daughter Samantha Rae Peaslee, a sister Heather Carr and her husband David of Augusta; 4 brothers Guy Peaslee and his wife Jan of Peru; Steven Peaslee and his wife Kami of Wiscasset; Keith Peaslee and his companion Tonya Gifford of Albion; Jesse Peaslee of Wiscasset; his fianc? Amy Violette of Whitefield; his grandparents Brian Knowles and his wife Sheila of Manchester and Jack Schmidt of New Jersey; an uncle Kenneth Schmidt of Lanoka Harbor, N.J.; nieces and nephews Derek Farnsworth, Keith Michael Peaslee II, Tyler Isaac Carr and Annie Louise Peaslee; several other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday October 24 at Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home and Cremation Service, One Church St., Augusta, where visiting will be held from 11am until time of service. Burial will be at a later date in Sand Hill Cemetery, Somerville.
