Kahlen Coulombe Obituary (1990

SIDNEY - Kahlen Kyle Coulombe, 16, of Sidney died unexpectedly Saturday, May 20, 2006. He was born in Augusta on April 4, 1990, the son of Marc and Sylvia Coulombe. Kahlen was a sophomore and honor student at Messalonskee High School. He loved basketball and looked forward to attending basketball camp and playing in the upcoming season. He enjoyed nature, listening to music and being with family and friends. Kahlen was very gifted, talented and highly spirited. He is survived by his parents; two brothers, Brandon and Ethyn; a sister, Sheena; his paternal grandparents, Omer and Geraldine Coulombe of Augusta; his maternal grandparents, Magella and Denise Garand of Chelsea; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, May 23, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1 Church St., Augusta. A Mass of Christian burial and celebration of Kahlen's life will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 24, at St. Andrews Catholic Church, 20 St. Andrews Street, Augusta, with the Rev. Ralph Boisvert, Celebrant. Memorial contributions may be made to the Messalonskee Varsity Basketball Program, c/o Tom Hill, 131 Messalonskee High Drive, Oakland, ME 04963. Kahlen will be sadly missed by all those whose lives he touched.
