"Ronnie luvs Kathy & Kathy luvs Ron
Our luv has flourished for over sixty years Long,
We met on August 2, Nineteen Hundred and Sixty Four,
Thereafter that date has been memorable forever More!
The old cliche 'It was love at first sight',
Was thus appropriate when Ron asked Kathy out on that August summer night.
She thought him so handsome, and nice, and Polite,
He thought her so pretty, and friendly and Right!

"To my daughters…
You know that age old question that is asked of most children, 'What do you want to be when you grow up?' Well, I never seemed to have an answer, I was always perplexed. When I became a mother the questioned was answered! From the moment you were born Ann-Marie, I knew what I would be. I have enjoyed the mother role from June 9, 1967 til today. I have had no other raging desire to be anything else. I've loved (nearly) every moment of motherhood, how could I not with two such wonderful, beautiful daughters. When you arrived, Tara, it was truly double the enjoyment. Your reinforcement of my motherhood is so reassuring and wonderful to me that I can't really express my joy. The way you've addressed your envelopes, the lovely Mother's Day and Birthday cards (of which there are many) are saved and cherished. Our conversations on life, our apparent likenesses, my experienced advice, your young and bold and fresh ideas make for a wonderful Mother/Daughter ensemble, and one I love so much. We are lucky for this. I will love you forever and always be your…..Mom"
Shared from an anniversary card from Ron in their 50th anniversary memory book:
"If someone were to ask me what would make a perfect life…I'd simply say 'I have that' by having you for my wife."
