MONMOUTH - Kiley E. Jean, 20, died Wednesday evening, May 5, 2010, in Portland. Kiley was born Aug. 29, 1989, and was a resident of Monmouth. She was in her junior year of college, majoring in interior design at Mount Ida College in Newton, Mass. She worked as a waitress at the Charles River Country Club in Newton and Little Dan's BBQ in Lewiston. Kiley enjoyed being with family and friends. She loved animals - especially pigs and cats. She was talented and creative, and brought joy to all those around her. She is survived by her mother, Faye B. Jean; father Maurice A. Jean Jr.; sisters Lindsay and Hillary Jean; grandmother Joan Jean; and a large extended family, including the families of Gladys and Steve DeWick, Laurie and Larry Grimmel, Sophia Berzinis and Rick Drottar, Wayne and Suzie Berzinis, Lloyd Berzinis, Ginny and John Wilson, and Pat and Larry Williams. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, at St. Francis Xavier Church, 130 Route 133, Winthrop. A reception will follow at the parish hall. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 10, at KNOWLTON AND HEWINS FUNERAL HOME, ONE CHURCH STREET, AUGUSTA. Contributions in memory of Kiley may be made to the Kennebec Valley Humane Society, 10 Pet Haven Lane, Augusta, ME 04330 or online at www.pethavenlane.org.
