AUGUSTA - Lori J. Franklin, 45, formerly of Hagerstown, MD., went to be with the Lord on Friday January 26, 2007, at MaineGeneral Medical Center, Augusta. She was born in Augusta, Maine on August 2, 1961 the daughter of John S. and Lorraine E. True. Lori was married to Richard Hill of Augusta for 11 years then remarried Randy Franklin on October 20, 2000, and moved with him to Maryland. They were married for 5 years. Lori attended Maranacook High School in Readfield up to the 11th grade. Although she did not attain her high school diploma on time, Lori was determined to complete her high school education and received her GED. Lori had a distinguished career working for Carleton Woolen Mills in Winthrop, ME for 10 years, and also at Dayken Pallet Mill in Leeds. While in Maryland, Lori started working for SAIC AKAS NIH at Fort Detrick in Frederick, a cancer research facility that is a sub-contractor for the federal government, that finds cures for various forms of cancer and AIDS. Lori was well known within the work place as a very hard worker whose work ethic and perfection put her in a class of her own. In addition to her work ethic, she was also a model employee who was a joy to work with. Her hobbies included playing bingo, card games, watching movies, being with family and friends and watching her Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. Lori wanted to give thanks to all of her friends and co-workers for their help and companionship, including Kelly Henderson of Gardiner and Virginia Lewis of Mount Vernon. A special thanks to devote friends Luena ?Buttons? Lowe, Randy Franklin and Richard Hill for their time of caring. She was predeceased by her grandparents Mary and Grandville Downs, aunts Janette Morgan and Millicent Maxim. She is survived by her parents John and Lorraine True of Mount Vernon; 3 children, Angel Burr, Angelina Hill and Frank W. Hill, all of Augusta. They meant the world to her and she hoped they would grow up to lead healthy and happy lives. Also survived by 2 sisters, Mary Doiron of Jay and Maria Edwards of Maryland, a brother Nathan Nedeau of Beltsville MD; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Visiting will be held Tuesday January 30, from 12 to 2pm at Roberts Funeral Home, 62 Bowdoin St., Winthrop where a funeral service will follow the visiting at 2:00. Spring burial will be in the Fayette Mills Cemetery, Fayette. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Brunswick Community Clubhouse for Kids, P.O. Box 155, Brunswick MD 21716.
