M. Annette McGowan 1937 – 2022 Winthrop - M. Annette McGowan died peacefully at Seal Rock Healthcare Nursing Home in Saco on February 4, 2022. Annette was born July 2, 1937, in Skowhegan, the daughter of Eva (Barrieault) and Raymond J. Belliveau and graduated from Skowhegan High School class of 1955. She married Ronald McGowan in May 1957 and they had three children. Annette was predeceased by her parents, Eva and Raymond Belliveau, and her loving husband of 55 years, Ronald F. McGowan Annette is survived by her daughters Julie A Noble and her husband, Bob of Saco, ME and JoEllen Lincoln of Readfield, ME and son, Raymond F. McGowan and his wife, Karen of Midlothian VA. Annette had five grandchildren Matthew, Caitlin, Austin, Chelsea, and Ryan and one great grandson Myles Grady McGowan and great granddaughter who is due any day in Michigan. Annette retired from Carleton Woolen Mills in 2000 as Human Resource Manager. She was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Winthrop. Annette loved music; she played piano and had a beautiful voice. She sang at weddings and funerals and also directed the church choir at Norte Dame de Lourdes Church in Skowhegan and at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Winthrop. Annette's greatest love was her family. There will be no visiting hours. A Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Winthrop with Reverend Frank Morin Celebrant. A luncheon will follow at the Parish Hall. Burial and committal prayers will be held Friday, July 15, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery, Route 150 (North Avenue) in Skowhegan. Annette's family would like to express our sincere appreciation to Seal Rock Healthcare Nursing Home and Compassus Hospice for all the love and support they gave Annette.
