Obituary

Marcia Mary Frances Berry of Millville, New Jersey passed away peacefully early in the morning on June 3, 2024 at the age of 53, after a 30 year battle with multiple sclerosis. Marcia was born on August 19, 1970 in Farmington, Maine ​​to Leon C. and Mary E. Berry. Marcia received her education in Wayne and graduated from Livermore Falls High School in 1988. She furthered her studies at Eastern Nazarene College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature in 1992. Marcia went on to have a successful career in the mortgage and lending industry until she was medically retired in 2005. In her later years, Marcia found fulfillment and joy by volunteering in No-Kill Cat Shelters and was endearingly referred to as the "Crazy Cat Lady" by family and friends. Marcia frequently recounted fond memories of her childhood on the family dairy farm in Wayne, Maine and enjoyed returning home to visit. Marcia is survived by her devoted partner David Clark, sons Aaron Kale and Alex Kale (Katie Kale), brothers Benjamin Berry (Michelle Berry) and Joseph Berry, brother-in-law Michael Small, nieces Julie, Mary, Alice, nephews Brandon and Isaac, great nephews Liam, ​​Maddox and Sawyer, and life-long best friend Susan Walsh. She is predeceased by her parents, Leon and Mary and her sister Elizabeth Berry-Small. A grave-side ceremony will be held on June 29, 2024 at 2:00pm at the Gordon Cemetery on Berry Road in Wayne, Maine. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation or your local No-Kill Cat Shelter. Marcia will be remembered for her resilience and love for her family, friends, and furry companions. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished in the hearts of all who knew her.
